A new article has been published in the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics, co-written by REVALUE project partner, Juan Palacios from Maastricht University. The article, Energy Efficiency Information and Valuation Practices in Rental Housing, highlights that although the consensus in the academic literature is that energy efficiency is associated with transaction value premiums, it is not clear to what extent property appraisers take account of this.
