To develop international guidance for property appraisers, incorporating the collection and easy analysis of transparent energy data, the REVALUE project works with housing providers across Europe in identifying the relevant background information and evidence on the assumptions that valuers need to make. One of the partners in the Netherlands is the social housing provider Havensteder. Early September, the REVALUE team will meet leadership team for asset management and sustainability to discuss data and trends.
The objectives of the meeting are to find advanced qualitative evidence to improve understanding of the relationship between energy efficiency and value beyond the energy label alone. It aims to provide advanced understanding of market trends and key stakeholders’ positions, and to assess the type of information that will enable more sophisticated assessments of energy efficiency in relation to property appraisals.
Havensteder is a provider of mostly social housing in the area of Rotterdam, the Netherlands. With over 45,000 dwellings under management, it is one of the largest housing providers in the country. Beyond social housing, Havensteder manages apartments and commercial units available to private market.
