On the 21st of October, the findings of the REVALUE project will be presented as part of a paper by one of the project partners at the UCONN Real Estate Symposium in Washington, DC. The paper will be presented by Juan Palacios, a PhD candidate in Real Estate at Maastricht University. His research mainly focuses on environmental economics, green real estate and health economics.
The valuation of heterogeneous, thinly‐traded assets such as real property interests presents challenges for lenders, insurers, assessors, and others for whom value is a key element in decision making.
To convene expertise and promote thoughtful scholarship in the Washington, DC area, Fannie Mae, in conjunction with The Appraisal Foundation, the University of Connecticut, School of Business, and the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics announced a Call for Papers and Participation in a conference on topics related to the valuation of real estate earlier this year.
