April saw the first phase of the UK’s Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) Regulations bought into force. Aimed at the commercial property sector, on Wednesday the 4th of July, the RICS MEES roadshow will provide an update on the phase one and two of the deadlines. The event will also examine the practical implications of the April deadline for the commercial property sector.
The roadshow brings together expert speakers including valuers, lawyers, property managers and agents to examine MEES impact from purchasing a property through to the end of a lease.
The seminars will cover
- Due diligence and pre-acquisition reports
- Valuing properties that fall below the 2023 deadline
- Lease drafting: rent reviews, lease breaks, and dilapidations
